Holy help for debt

If you are in debt, look for help that will not add any more debt to your pile. Many churches offer debt help to people in the community. Going to a church for help is a wise idea because much of the advice in the Bible contains information about how to become financially prosperous. Before visiting a pastor about your debt, read the book of Proverbs. Write down a few notes to refer to when talking to the pastor or Christian counselors.

Learn to give back

One of the reasons you can find church-sponsored financial help is because Christians want to give back to the community. Jesus said if you see a person in need and do nothing about it, you don't have the love of God in your heart. If you have never put aside money to give to the church or to charities, it's a good time to get started. When setting up a budget with a counselor, plan to save 10 percent for yourself and 10 percent to for tithing or giving to charities. By giving to others, you will feel a sense of freedom. You will be motivated to make more money because ultimately, people feel better about making money to help others rather than themselves.

Spiritual debt means hell

Sometimes a person's financial condition reflects their spiritual condition. While good people can be in debt, oftentimes debt reflects a lack of self-esteem, poor planning, foolishness and impulsivity. By seeing a Christian debt counselor you may be able to not only get out of financial debt, but learn to solve your emotional and spiritual problems as well. Many marriages fall apart because of debt. Don't let financial ruin destroy your life.

Beliefs about money

Ironically some people get their mixed up ideas about money from what they have heard at church. They think money is evil. But it's the love of money that is evil. People who love money more than they love people will destroy the environment and kill others for money. Money itself or having it is not evil. In fact, money can be used to fund charities and soup kitchens. While money obviously does not grow on trees, it does not have to be difficult to make money. It's all about having a plan and working a financial plan. Going to a Christian sponsored financial program can definitely get you on the right path to prosperity.
